I’ve spent my career thus far as general contractor, where my traits of being organized, detail-oriented and perpetually curious have served me well. While computers have always been an area of great interest to me, a specific career path in the tech industry didn’t stand out to me when I was younger. And since my father had groomed for this industry since I was young, it felt quite natural to follow him into this career path.

As I advanced my career I transitioned through various roles, gathering technical, financial and project management skills along the way. I took pride in making myself as versatile as possible. However, there was always a voice in my head telling me that something wasn't quite right.

I should be doing something in tech.

After doing some research, I came across web development. The combination of continuing to build things while being in a much more innovative industry was very attractive. I started taking classes and building projects, and I haven't stopped since. Now I'm looking for opportunities to shift into this exciting new career path.
